Why doesnt Oakland have its own section in YA like San Francisco & San Jose?
If you go under "travel", then "United States", you'll see San Francisco and San Jose, but not Oakland. Why'd they leave us out?

Answer 1 :
It is so close to S.F. Not many people would look for Oakland.
Answer 2 :
Because it's Oakland. Ha, no I think it's more that no one visits Oakland as a separate trip from SF really. Whereas conceivably, being an hour way, people visit San Jose without going to SF, who knows why though

Answer 1 :
oh yeah sure
Answer 2 :
I'd take the 101S to the San Mateo Bridge to 880N but Yahoo Maps sends you across the Bay Bridge
Answer 3 :
Take 280 North Downtown San Francisco, and then take 101 North Baybridge Civic Center.
Answer 4 :
At 9 PM, you won't have much trouble with traffic. I would take the 101 N to I-80 E, go over the Bay Bridge then after the bridge get on 580 E towards downtown Oakland. It depends where in downtown Oakland you need to go - you may need to get on the 980 or 880 after that.
Answer 5 :
101 North to 80 East across the Bay Bridge, I would then take 880 south, take the Broadway exit. That gets you into downtown Oakland. You may have traffic anytime at the Bay Bridge because of on going construction

Answer 1 :
Your best bet is to search the weather conditions for the major city and towns you go through. There may be some trip planners out there that also give you weather conditions. I tried google maps, but that didn't work. Try mapquest.
Answer 2 :
Check out Weathercast.com. They are usually very accurate
Answer 3 :
I have found this to be the best weather site: http://www.weather.com/ Just type in the cities you will be going through and it will give you a detailed forecast - for up to 10 days. Have fun!

About Should I buy Oakland A's tickets on game day or in advance
Should I buy Oakland A's tickets on game day or in advance?
I travel around the country going to different ballparks. I hate to purchase tickets in advance because then you're tied to that game, but I also hate to wait in case the game sells out. I will be watching for giveway games and opponents during the week that I'm there - so I'm not looking for those responses. I live in Cincinnati and I know that on most days, the Reds are not sold out and buying day of game tickets is fine. Thanks in advance for your help!

the only games that really truly sell out for the a's are ones where they play the giants, red sox, yankees and angels. And usually the home opener are sold out. But beyond that most games do not sell out at all. You can usually get tickets the same day. In general the A's have one of the best walk-up game day purchase tickets in the MLB. i do normally buy my tickets in advance, but I just like the convenience of knowing I have a seat where I want to sit. The visitor's side is the first base side. The best way to get to and from the games is via BART our local transit/train system. If you are looking for giveway days, they have not released that schedule yet. Go to oakland athletics web site. They won't release them for another while though

Renting a car is easy (with DL and credit card). I would rent for a week and use my own insurance. Shop around, rental rates vary widely, especially toward nicer models. The rental agency (I believe Enterprise has a special weekly rate right now) can provide an alternative but expensive insurance option if necessary. You might also share with someone, splitting driving, expenses, etc. Remember everything you know about strangers however, cooped up in a car will reveal everything you don't like about them. It may save a great deal of time and stress and be the most fun too. Another idea if time permits and you are strapped for cash is to locate a local auto transport agent. In this you are paid a stipend and you drive someone else's car to be delivered near your destination
